Inshore Angler's Essential Gear Guide
3 Must Have products for the Inshore Angler
Number 1 is the Slidog 85. Now rigged stock with two super sharp BKK inline singles, the little Slidog is an absolute weapon. The smaller profile sits in the sweet spot that attract both big fish and small. This lure is just as comfortable being thrown at chopper tailor, as it is being mowed down by powerful Trevally and Queenfish. The ultimate inshore all-rounder.

Number 2 is the Madeye 5” Paddleprawn. This lure does the work for you. The large paddletail and lifelike legs featured on this soft plastic create a heap of movement on the bottom, so even simple retrieves like a slow roll will work wonders. Match the jighead to the depth you want to fish, whether that’s weedless on the surface, or on the bottom in 20m, this lure will do the trick.
Number 3 Is the range of Karcass jigs, but specifically the smaller sizes. The 20, 40 and 60 gram models are dynamite inshore in anything up to about 20m of water, depending on conditions. Snapper, mulloway, trevally and plenty of other species are suckers for a little Karcass jig being worked on the bottom or back up through the water column.
